We are currently seeking a Transactional Real Estate Attorney to join our esteemed legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dealing with complex real estate transactions, with a particular focus on commercial properties, land development, and retail. This role will also involve handling landlord and tenant disputes and overseeing loan agreements. This is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned attorney who is looking to take their career to the next level in a challenging yet rewarding environment.

Responsibilities:

1. Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial real estate agreements, including purchase and sale agreements, lease agreements, and loan documents.
2. Advise on land development projects, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
3. Represent the company in landlord and tenant disputes, providing sound legal advice and effective dispute resolution strategies.
4. Work closely with the retail team to manage legal risks and ensure the smooth execution of retail property transactions.
5. Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support decision-making and provide proactive legal advice.
6. Collaborate with other members of the legal team on cross-functional projects and initiatives.
7. Stay abreast of the latest developments in real estate law and integrate these changes into our practices.

Qualifications:

1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Admission to the NY state bar.
3. Minimum of 8+ years of experience as a real estate attorney, ideally within the commercial, land development, and retail sectors.
4. Demonstrated experience in handling landlord and tenant disputes.
5. Proficiency in drafting and negotiating commercial real estate agreements, including purchase and sale agreements, lease agreements, and loan documents.
6. Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal laws and regulations related to real estate transactions.
7. Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
8. Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
9. Strong analytical skills and the ability to provide practical legal advice in a fast-paced environment.
10. Demonstrated commitment to maintaining the highest ethical and professional standards.
