Job Details

Responsibilities

1. Support the financial aspects of real estate pre-development, including proforma modeling, feasibility analysis, and early-stage project budgeting.
2. Develop and maintain financial forecasts, cash flow projections, and proforma reviews for projects during the pre-development and construction lifecycle.
3. Partner with development teams to analyze land acquisition costs, entitlement expenses, consultant budgets, and early project costs.
4. Manage accounting for development and construction projects, including job costing, WIP schedules, contingency tracking, and project cost monitoring.
5. Prepare and manage draw packages, track financing activity, and support lender reporting requirements.
6. Oversee contractor and consultant invoice processing, billing, and project cost allocations.
7. Perform variance analysis and cost reconciliation to support development and executive decision-making.
8. Prepare and post journal entries and maintain general ledger accuracy, ensuring timely month-end close.
9. Handle multi-entity consolidations and preparation of consolidated financial statements.
10. Ensure accurate processing of accounts payable and accounts receivable, including A/R management and collections.
11. Oversee accruals and other financial transactions as needed.
12. Coordinate with external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance with US GAAP and internal policies.
13. Prepare ad hoc financial reports and analysis to support development and executive teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
  • Experience supporting real estate development projects, with exposure to pre-development activities such as feasibility analysis, budgeting, and proforma review.
  • Background in real estate or construction accounting
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP.
