Radiology Technologist Aid

Job Summary:
The Radiology Technologist Aide (RTA) is a crucial piece of the Radiology workflow, encompassing multiple areas within the Radiology department.  The RTA serves as a clinical resource assistant to the technologist whom them work alongside.  They will assist with moving and transporting patients as necessary, cleaning and disinfecting the exam table and room, and are also responsible for clerical duties within the department such as answering and directing phone calls appropriately, burning images on disc, and organizing necessary patient paperwork.  The RTA may also act as the liaison between the patient, doctor and staff for several different communication needs with emphasis on strong interpersonal skill as the face of the radiology department.

Qualifications / Job Requirements:
Education
•    High school graduate required
•     Ability to make appropriate decisions with a moderate amount of supervisory direction required
•    Requires positive and effective communicating skills for interaction with physicians and staff in any situation.
•    Background in medical terminology preferred
•    Preferred safe patient handling experience and ability to transport patients independently
