- Obtains patient data before procedure (DOB, age, and history) and explains procedure to be performed, facilitates patients' cooperation and alleviates anxiety.
- Transfers patient to exam table; ensures proper covering of patient according to policy and procedure
- Arranges, attaches, or adjusts immobilization and support devices according to procedure, ensuring limitation of patient movement
- Demonstrates satisfactory positioning and equipment knowledge; consistently produces radiographs of diagnostic quality
- Always demonstrates working knowledge and proficiency with imaging equipment, including, but not limited to portables, c-arms, tomography, fluoroscopy, head unit, and general radiographic equipment
- Performs related duties as required.
Required:
- Education:
- Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology school with an associate degree or equivalent or graduation within 6 months.
- Certifications/Registrations/Licenses:
- Registered with ARRT or registry eligible, must be registered within 1 year of employment.
- American Heart Association BLS CPR certification required, must be obtained within 7 days of hire.
- SCRQSA license is required.
Preferred:
- Experience: Radiology Technologist or related experience is preferred.
