Department: Rad Interventional Main

Work Schedule: PRN, 0.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)

Pay: $20.87 - $27.13 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience

This position is an onsite role and does not offer a hybrid or remote option

Summary:
Performs limited diagnostic medical radiographic procedures.

Responsibilities:
Under indirect supervision of a registered radiographer, performs diagnostic medical radiographic procedures limited to X-ray examinations of the skull, chest, hip/pelvis, spine/sacrum, upper extremities, and lower extremities.

Maintains department facilities; checks equipment and supplies daily. Communicates effectively with Radiologist and other physicians when given direction.

Processes images, evaluating for technical quality and accurate patient identification. Places appropriate markers on all images. Checks quality of images and sends images or exams to proper PACS viewing station.

Verifies patient identification and physician orders. Documents clinical history prior to examination. Transports patients and informs nursing units of patient's departure and arrival.

Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.

Requirements:

  • ARRT Limited Scope
  • High School Diploma or GED. Must be a 2nd year student in good standing in the UCHealth or UCHealth affiliated Radiologic Technology program.
    Required Licensure/Certification: State of Colorado Certificate as a Limited Scope X-Ray Operator. Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider.
    Minimum Experience: Completion of 1st year in the UCHealth or UCHealth affiliated Radiologic Technology program
  • BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.
