R&D CHEMIST
Responsibilities:
·Responsible for developing new products, processes and systems in support of business objectives
·Responsible for translating product specifications into effective products that are able to be manufactured. Product line include dry blend cleaners, effervescent products, solid dosage products (Tablets) and liquid Cleaners
·Independently design and execute experimental work to test hypotheses at bench top, pilot plant and plant level and obtain valid results consistent with project objectives
·Develop, support and improve processes for existing and new products
·Understanding of the product development process to concept to launch
·Formulation knowledge and understanding of chemical interactions
·Work in partnership with the regulatory teams (consultant) to identify key regulatory requirements for projects and business initiatives covering biocide, detergent products.
·Responsible for authoring technical protocols, reports and dossiers for regulatory submissions
·Participate in vendor evaluations and qualification, supporting manufacturing outcomes
·Assist Manufacturing and customer service with various customer and production problems
·Perform testing on various materials, products and coordinate outside testing
Education and Experience:
·MSc/BSc in Chemistry, Material Science or chemical engineering
·3 years’ experience in formulation and testing
·Demonstrated applied knowledge of quality (ISO) and food safety (GFSI/BRC) systems
·Experience with adherence to cGMP and GLP requirements
·Experience with analytical characterization methods for particle size, chemical analysis, and molecular weight
·Familiarity with chemical and formulation registration requirements for NSF
