Key Responsibilities

• Analyze customer RFQs, specifications, and technical drawings to understand project requirements.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, production, and procurement for accurate cost estimation.
• Calculate precise material, labor, and overhead costs for manufacturing processes.
• Develop competitive pricing strategies and prepare detailed, professional quotes for customers.
• Communicate directly with customers to clarify requirements, negotiate terms, and provide quote updates.
• Maintain accurate records of all quotes, pricing, and customer interactions within the CRM/ERP system.
• Identify and propose alternative solutions or cost-saving opportunities during the quoting process.

Recommended Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a quoting, estimating, or sales support role within a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, specifications, and Bills of Material (BOMs).
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, material costs, labor rates, and overhead calculations.
• Proficient in ERP/MRP systems, CRM software, and Microsoft Excel for data analysis and quote generation.
• Demonstrated high level of accuracy and attention to detail in preparing complex quotes.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with major ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) in a manufacturing environment.
• Basic understanding of cost accounting principles and their application in pricing.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings or blueprints.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and modeling.
• Familiarity with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) for customer interaction tracking.
