Key Responsibilities

• Review customer Request for Quotes (RFQs), specifications, and technical drawings.
• Calculate material, labor, overhead, and tooling costs for manufacturing projects.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and purchasing to ensure accurate estimates and lead times.
• Prepare and submit comprehensive, competitive, and timely price quotations to customers.
• Maintain accurate records of all quotes, pricing data, and customer communications.
• Follow up on submitted quotes, address customer inquiries, and negotiate terms as needed.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvements within the quoting workflow.

Recommended Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in quoting, sales support, or a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and material specifications.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills for cost estimation, pricing, and margin analysis.
• Demonstrated experience with ERP/MRP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel functions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for internal and external stakeholder collaboration.
• Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in preparing complex quotes.

Bonus Qualifications

• Familiarity with common manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, fabrication, assembly).
• Knowledge of cost accounting principles or lean manufacturing methodologies.
• Proficiency in advanced Excel for complex data analysis and modeling.
• Experience reviewing technical drawings or CAD models.
