Quality Product Engineer
Position Summary
A growing aerospace-focused manufacturing organization is seeking a Quality Product Engineer to support metrology processes, reduce variation in key process inputs, and strengthen overall quality systems. This role partners closely with Engineering and Production to ensure product conformity, customer compliance, and continuous improvement across the organization.
The ideal candidate will have strong CMM programming experience, a deep understanding of aerospace quality standards, and the ability to communicate effectively with both internal teams and customers.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain CMM programs and support metrology functions
Review customer specifications and blueprints to confirm internal capability and compliance
Conduct internal process and product audits in alignment with ISO9001 and AS9100 standards
Lead and follow up on root cause and corrective action activities
Monitor and communicate key process variables and quality metrics
Support updates and improvements to quality system procedures
Partner with Manufacturing and Engineering on inspection requirements and part processing
Participate in MRB activities including acceptance, rework, and scrap decisions
Assist with customer-facing quality issue resolution and conference calls
Prepare certificates of conformance, RMAs, and other technical documentation
Support quality system maintenance and audit readiness
Qualifications
2–5 years of experience with PC-DMIS software, including CMM programming
Strong GD&T and dimensional metrology experience
Background in Quality or Engineering within a manufacturing environment
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical documentation
Experience supporting calibration, document control, auditing, corrective action, MRB, and product certification
Familiarity with aerospace, industrial gas turbine, or automotive quality standards
Experience supporting new product introduction or development programs preferred
Knowledge of dimensional inspection methods required
Experience with SolidWorks and 3D modeling is a plus
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Project)
Additional Requirements
Must be eligible to work in the United States
Position subject to ITAR regulations requiring U.S. person status
