Job Details

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Lead and develop Quality Engineers supporting internal non-conformances, supplier issues, and customer escapes
  • Manage daily inspection priorities across first-piece, in-process, final, receiving, FAI, and DQR over-inspection
  • Schedule and coordinate third-party source inspections as required
  • Interpret customer drawings, specifications, and contractual quality requirements
  • Ensure compliance throughout contract review, manufacturing travelers, inspection plans, FAIs, PPAPs, and related documentation
  • Develop, implement, and train quality policies, procedures, and standard work aligned with AS9100/ISO9001
  • Build and maintain standard workflows for CAPA, RCCA, NCMR/DMR, and RMA activity within ERP/eQMS systems (Epicor)
  • Lead internal, customer, supplier, and third-party audits; maintain metrics, scorecards, and corrective action tracking
  • Own onboarding, training, cross-training, and performance management for the quality team
  • Act as the technical authority for quality decisions, approvals, and judgment calls
  • Maintain compliance with export controls including ITAR and DFARS

Qualifications — Needed

  • B.S. in Engineering or similar technical discipline
  • Minimum 7–10 years of experience applying quality systems in an AS9100 aerospace manufacturing environment
  • Prior supervisory or indirect team leadership experience strongly preferred
  • Experience supporting Raytheon Technologies (Collins Aerospace / Pratt & Whitney), GE Aviation, or similar aerospace OEMs
  • Strong background in PPAP, APQP, and First Article Inspection (FAI)
  • Familiarity with critical component and flight safety processes (ESA, VSE, SPS)
  • Deep knowledge of inspection methods, metrology, gage selection, calibration, MSA, and SPC
  • Proven experience leading internal and external audits and management reviews
  • Experience building or enhancing ERP and/or eQMS systems to manage CAPA, NCMR, RMA, audits, training records, and scorecards
  • Epicor ERP experience is a plus
