Overview:The CB&I Corporate Quality Assurance Internship Program provides motivated students and recent graduates with hands‑on experience in a professional quality environment. Candidates will support global Quality teams by assisting with document standardization, data integrity initiatives, and compliance activities across projects and business units. Prior industry experience is not required; however, strong academic performance, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and a high attention to detail are essential. Interns will gain exposure to QA workflows, documents, and the core principles of quality management under the guidance of experienced Quality professionals.
Successful candidates will demonstrate curiosity, reliability, analytical skill, and the ability to contribute to a diverse and collaborative organization.
- Apply CB&I quality standards, templates, and document control procedures to update company documents.
- Support Quality personnel in reviewing documents for accuracy, consistency, and compliance.
- Help maintain quality records, logs, and trackers to ensure version control and traceability.
- Consolidate data from multiple sources into structured tools used for quality reporting and continuous improvement.
- Participate in routine remote or in‑person meetings with quality supervisors and project teams.
- Fulfill general administrative and support tasks for the Quality department.
- Develop an understanding of the responsibilities of Quality Assurance professionals in an engineering and fabrication environment.
- Individual responsibilities will be aligned with the specific role. Examples of assignment areas include:
- Document Standardization and Control:
- Reformat internal procedures and work instructions using CB&I templates.
- Validate document consistency, metadata accuracy, and formatting requirements.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Support small improvement projects involving document cleanup, template enhancements, or process streamlining.
- Document Standardization and Control:
- High school diploma or current enrollment in a college‑track academic program with strong academic performance.
- Coursework or demonstrated interest in data analysis, statistics, computer science, business, engineering, or related fields.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and Teams.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Demonstrated leadership potential through academics, athletics, clubs, or volunteer roles.
- Willingness to learn quality processes, document standards, and data management techniques.
- Flexible schedule and ability to work with supervisors in different time zones.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Adaptability and agility to learn and contribute in varying and complex environments.
- Professional presence and ability to communicate clearly, both written and verbally.
- Analytical thinker capable of organizing information and identifying inconsistencies.
