Job Summary

The role involves determining compliance with documented specifications and maintaining a high level of quality on all parts, assemblies, and finished machines (both electrical and mechanical). Additionally, the role includes documenting discrepancies in material quality and their potential resolutions, supporting the Quality Management System (QMS). The goal is to sustain and enhance efforts to meet or exceed our customers' expectations of machine quality and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming/in-house manufactured parts and assemblies and set standards for measurable quality.
• Document quality issues, generate punch lists, and follow up on the work to ensure compliance.
• Work with electrical controls engineers to complete functionality tests on all finished machines.
• Inspect, photograph, and document finished machines and complete appropriate documentation and checklists.
• Assist the Quality Assurance Manager in developing, implementing, and maintaining the company's Quality Management System and Processes.
• Manage the company calibration program.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics.
• Proficient in using measuring tools including micrometers, calipers, scales, tape rules, surface gauges, indicators, multimeters, and other testing tools as required.
• Good computer skills with proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
• Experience in CAD/3D Modelling/CAM2 required.
• FARO Arm/CMM experience is a plus.
• Proficient in using EPICOR or other ERP systems.
• Experience in documenting quality issues and product dispositions in detail.
• Understanding of root cause analysis.
• Knowledge and understanding of ISO requirements.
• Project management and organizational skills.
• Broad knowledge of the company's operations and its QMS.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work with engineers, machinists, assemblers, wiremen, technicians, and supervisors.
• Ability to listen, influence, and motivate.
• Ability to summarize information and communicate effectively with vendors via email, phone calls, and face-to-face visits.

• Willingness and ability to identify opportunities for improvement and make suggestions for change.
