Key Qualifications:

• Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in this state
• Experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, or post-acute carepreferred
• Knowledge of Infection Prevention, Quality Assurance (QA), and QAPI programs
• Strong understanding of CMS regulations and state survey processes

Position Summary

The RN Quality & Infection Control Nurse is responsible for leading and overseeing the facility’s Quality Assurance and Infection Prevention programs. This role ensures ongoing compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while promoting resident safety and clinical excellence.

Responsibilities

• Lead the facility’s Infection Prevention & Control Program
• Oversee and coordinate the Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI) program
• Conduct infection surveillance, tracking, trending, and reporting
• Implement infection control policies and outbreak response plans
• Monitor antibiotic stewardship and clinical quality indicators
• Prepare for and participate in state and federal surveys
• Educate staff on infection prevention practices and quality initiatives
• Collaborate with the Administrator and interdisciplinary team to drive continuous improvement
• Ensure compliance with current federal, state, and local regulatory standards
