Objectives of this Role:
- Conduct in-depth quality system audits and assessments ensuring compliance with quality management systems, and applicable standards and regulations to ensure we meet our customer's needs.
- Support the Department to drive continuous improvement as an Internal Quality System Auditor, identifying areas for enhancement in documentation, procedures, and operational efficiency within a variety of scientific fields.
- Minimize risks, maintain regulatory compliance, and strengthen the quality culture through meticulous audits and evaluations.
- Provide valuable insights and recommendations as an Internal Quality System Auditor, contributing to the achievement of highest-quality research outcomes and client satisfaction.
- Ensure precision, reliability, and adherence to quality standards, fostering trust among clients and stakeholders.
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities:
- Review and assist the Department in planning audits. This involves coordinating with relevant stakeholders, scheduling audits with internal customers, and preparing the necessary documentation and checklists.
- Conduct on-site audits and surveillances to assess conformity to quality management systems, processes, and product requirements.
- Perform documentation review, inspections, interviews, and observations to evaluate adherence to established standards and specification.
- Work to assist in preparing audit reports detailing the findings, observations, and recommendations from audits conducted.
- Ensure the reports are accurate, well-documented, and delivered to relevant stakeholders in a timely manner.
- Communicate with audit team and internal stakeholders regarding audit results, corrective actions, and improvement plans.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as engineering, and quality assurance and production, to address quality-related issues.
Requirements:
- Requires a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemistry or related degree field with relevant experience.
- Auditor Certification desired.
- 2-5 years: Process-based auditing experience and/or Quality Engineering experience.
- 2-5 years: Working under a certified quality management system (such as ISO9001, AS9100, ISO17025, or similar industry or national quality standards).
- Knowledge of quality, aerospace, and environmental standards preferred.
- Able to succeed in a group/team environment, as well as in an individual basis.
- Must be able to travel.
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation programs.
- A valid/clear driver's license is required.

- Chemistry and Chemical Engineering-Performing research and technical services using chemistry and chemical engineering technology.
- Defense and & Intelligence Solutions-Providing advanced direction finding and tracking systems through geolocation system development.
- Fuels and Lubricants Research-Performing fuels and lubricants research activities to meet regulatory and competitive goals.
- Intelligent Systems-Providing engineering services in resaerch and development of complex systems and equipment.
- Mechanical Engineering-Improving safety, reliability, efficiency and life of new or existing mechanical components or systems.
- Powertrain Engineering-Designing and developing vehicle and engine components to achieve performance and emissions goals.
- Space Science & Engineering-Developing and managing advanced scientific payloads aboard satellites and sounding rockets.
