Quality Engineer

We are seeking a hands-on Quality Engineer – Inspection & Validation to support both inspection operations and quality engineering activities in a precision manufacturing environment. This position bridges measurement and improvement—connecting what we discover in the lab with how we strengthen processes on the floor. 

Key Responsibilities: 

Inspection & Metrology (≈50%)

• Perform mechanical and visual inspection of precision machined and ground components

• Use a variety of inspection tools including: Micrometers, calipers, height gages, Optical comparators, vision systems

• Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and specifications

• Support first article inspections, in-process inspection, and final inspection

• Maintain accurate inspection records and ensure data integrity within the QMS

• Support calibration and measurement system integrity as required

Quality Engineering Support (≈50%)

• Assist with PPAP documentation and customer submission packages

• Support process and equipment validations (IQ/OQ/PQ as applicable)

• Participate in nonconformance investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions

• Support CAPA activities, including effectiveness checks

• Assist with continuous improvement initiatives tied to scrap, rework, and escapes

• Collaborate with other departments improve process capability and stability
