Job Title: Manufacturing Quality Engineer
Overview
We are seeking a Manufacturing Quality Engineer to support production operations and ensure consistent quality across the manufacturing lifecycle. This role will focus on driving process control, resolving production issues, and improving manufacturing efficiency while maintaining strict adherence to quality standards.
The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and experienced in complex manufacturing environments where precision and repeatability are critical.
Key Responsibilities
Support quality assurance across manufacturing processes including fabrication, assembly, and system integration
Monitor production activities to ensure adherence to quality standards and engineering specifications
Identify, investigate, and resolve manufacturing nonconformances through root cause analysis and corrective actions
Partner with engineering and production teams to improve process capability, efficiency, and product quality
Develop and implement process controls, inspection plans, and quality documentation
Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing defects and increasing throughput
Support first article inspections, in-process inspections, and final validation activities
Maintain documentation, reporting, and traceability for manufacturing quality processes
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience
3+ years of experience in manufacturing quality, production quality, or quality engineering within complex manufacturing environments
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes such as fabrication, machining, assembly, and integration
Experience with quality tools including root cause analysis, corrective actions, and process control methodologies
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T
Familiarity with quality systems, inspection processes, and production metrics
Strong problem-solving skills with a data-driven and process-oriented mindset
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally on the production floor
