Job Details
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
· Review aerospace customer (OEM and Government) blueprints for incorporation into the quality plans.
· Collect, analyze, and present quality data including cost of quality, company scrap, rework, customer complaints QCPC, and internal audit results.
· Ensure that inspection capabilities (i.e., inspection equipment) are in place for new product. Identify “hidden characteristics” for in-process verification and generate customer nonconformance reports (deviation/waivers) with corrective actions.
· Review and incorporate first article requirements and ensure production readiness.
· Generate inspection plans: characteristic accountability-sequence (balloon) all drawing characteristics, extract specification requirements for inspection, generate inspection method required equipment, and review and approve IMS.
· Ability to submit non-conformances to suppliers/customers.
· Knowledgeable of SPC, FMEA, PPAP, Gauge R&R, VSM, and lean manufacturing.
· Good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate and convey issues. Able to participate in technical discussions and work in a collaborative team-based environment.
· Disposition of nonconforming material (NMR).
· Background in aerospace auditing techniques, both internal and with suppliers.
· Strong background in Root Cause, Corrective Action, Preventative Action and Mistake proofing.
