Quality Control Technician

We are looking for a QUALITY CONTROL TECHNICIAN to join our Parsons, KS plant. As a Quality Control Technician with Quikrete Heavy Construction Materials you will be responsible for safely and effectively sampling the aggregate products to make sure they are within specifications. Needing attention to detail and the ability to multi-task this position is one that covers the oversight of many products quality as well as often operating heavy equipment within the plant.

About the Role 

Responsibilities:

• Perform QC tests (air content, slump/workability, coarseness/sandiness, yield, set time, water-cement ratio, strength).
• Calibrate production and testing equipment.
• Sample and test raw materials for specification compliance.
• Record and communicate test results to dispatch, batch personnel, and customers.
• Troubleshoot fresh and hardened concrete to identify quality issues.

About You

We Require:

• A high school diploma or GED.
• A minimum of 1–year of QC experience within a construction, industrial, or manufacturing environment.
• Good organizational and math skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
