Job Summary
The 1st Stage Quality Control (QC) Inspector is responsible for ensuring that all first-stage materials meet company and customer quality standards before moving forward in the production process. This role requires precise measurement, blueprint reading, and documentation of inspection results to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Perform quality inspections on first-stage materials using tape measures, squares, calipers, and other tools.
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to verify compliance with project requirements.
Document inspection results and maintain accurate records of measurements and findings.
Identify defects, deviations, or non-conformities and promptly report them to supervisors and QC team.
Work closely with production staff to address quality issues and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
Ensure materials meet quality and safety standards before progressing to the next stage of production.
Support continuous improvement initiatives by recommending process improvements to reduce errors and defects.

Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent (technical training a plus).
Previous experience in quality control, steel industry or manufacturing preferred.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Strong math and measurement skills, with proficiency using tape measures, squares, and other hand measurement tools.
Detail-oriented with excellent documentation and reporting skills.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
