| Job Description | The Quality Assurance Testing (QAT) Analyst will provide comprehensive application maintenance, business analysis support, and quality assurance testing for DESE systems. This role combines hands-on testing with requirements analysis, documentation, and coordination with business and technical stakeholders. Business Analysis & Application Support: " Analyze and investigate application issues, batch errors, and data discrepancies " Perform requirements analysis and clarification with business units and SMEs " Translate business and legislative requirements into testable work items and specifications " Manage and maintain Azure DevOps (ADO) work items, including tasks, user stories, and defects " Support ad-hoc data analysis and reporting requests " Participate in business meetings to clarify issues, scope, and expected outcomes " Support legislative and regulatory changes impacting DESE systems " Assist with forms, notices, and batch-related issue analysis " Provide documentation updates supporting application specifications and system changes Quality Assurance Testing: " Develop and execute unit, system, regression, and integration test cases " Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) planning and execution " Perform batch processing and nightly run validation " Validate fixes, enhancements, and system upgrades prior to release " Conduct accessibility (508/ADA) compliance testing " Document defects, test results, and corrective actions in ADO " Maintain traceability between requirements, test cases, and defects " Support resolution of help desk tickets related to testing and validation Reporting & Coordination: " Contribute to weekly and monthly status reporting " Support deliverable documentation required for State acceptance " Coordinate closely with the Project Manager to ensure timely issue resolution | ||||||||
| Required Experience | 5+ years' experience with: " Azure DevOps (ADO) " Test cases/test plans " Regression testing " White box/black box testing " 508/ADA compliance testing Wave tool " Responsive design testing " Traceability matrix creation and usage " Creating test scripts " Ability to teach a team on testing procedures that testing starts through the entire lifecycle " Meets legal and company standards with regard to date, applications, etc. " Basic understand of project lifecycles/SDLC " Knows waterfall and agile methodologies and where/why to use them " Deep understanding of documentation of testing processes and creation of testing artifacts " Knowledge of acceptance testing methods 3+ years' experience with: " Knowledge of security testing methods " Knowledge of usability testing " Knowledge of functional testing methods " Basic SQL knowledge for cross-testing Additional preferred experience with: " Selenium/Katalon " Back-end development " Veracode experience | ||||||||
