Quality Assurance Technician I
Location: Tempe, AZ
Pay Rate: $21.00/hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Work Environment: On-site (In-person interviews required)
Position Summary
The Quality Assurance Technician I supports daily operations within the Field Assurance (Complaint Handling) Lab. This role is responsible for managing the intake, documentation, shipping, and evaluation of complaint samples, as well as coordinating image and video review requests. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a regulated laboratory or cleanroom environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Document and log complaint samples received for evaluation in the Field Assurance Lab
- Manage shipping and receiving of complaint samples, including domestic and international return kits
- Assemble and coordinate shipment of sample return kits, ensuring accurate tracking and timely delivery
- Maintain shipping inventory and order supplies through approved vendors
- Process image and video review requests, including running queries in TrackWise and maintaining tracking logs
- Follow up on pending requests to ensure timely completion
- Maintain accurate records in compliance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
- Adhere to Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and biosafety standards
- Store and dispose of complaint samples according to established procedures
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Communicate effectively with internal teams, external customers, and support staff
- Escalate issues or discrepancies to leadership as needed
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within lab operations
- Ensure compliance with all company procedures and regulatory requirements
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED (Associate degree or equivalent experience preferred)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with FedEx or similar shipping systems
- Previous warehouse, logistics, or inventory experience
- Experience in a laboratory, medical device, or GMP-regulated environment
- Familiarity with cleanroom or biosafety practices
Physical Demands
- Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, and use hands for handling equipment and materials
- Frequent communication with team members and stakeholders
- Occasional reaching, bending, kneeling, or crouching

- Bring fresh ideas and innovative concepts to higher education foodservice
- Develop, and maintain test scripts for regression testing
- Carry out calculations and prepare documentation that show the results of tests
- Conduct Routine Maintenance on equipment located within the physical laboratory./li
- Understand the overall technical architecture and how each automation feature is implemented
- Ensure the Bank and client needs
- Assist in implementing new processes and ensure other testers
- Serve sandwiches, salads and other cold food items
- Ensure FDA/ISO/GMP compliance and to provide basis for continuous improvement
- Demonstrate flexibility in problem solving, providing risk-based options towards challenges for Management review and decision making
- Provide, discuss or recommend process improvements and corrections
- Evaluate product functionality and create test strategies and test cases to assess product quality
- Ensure that substandard product is identified
- Use the ERP system to receive material and close work-orders after quality checks have been performed
- Assist in testing components of small to medium complexity projects and may report progress to key stakeholders
- Releasing Powder Room production and periodic inspections of production - Collection of Water Samples
- Preparing sample containers, making labels for Raw Material sampling, entering into logbooks and retrieving specification sheets - Storage of retain samples
- Provide backup support for the QA Manager in a variety of functions
- Collect data on daily management activities and environmental variables for corrals
- Ensure the required maintenance of the power wash equipment and vehicle
