Job Title: QC Analyst - Medical Device
Location: Orangeburg, NY

Compensation: $23.00 per hour
Contractor Work Model: Onsite
Hours: (6:00am-2:30pm)
Responsibilities
- Performs analyses of Clinical Chemistry, Critical Care, coagulation, and microbiology controls and reagents using automated techniques in accordance with established quality standards and GMP requirements
- Conducts automated and manual assays as detailed in departmental/plant SOPs and QC Monographs, including raw material, in-process, and finished product testing
- Interprets test results against specifications and determines if assays pass or fail
- Maintains documentation of all work performed in accordance with GMP requirements
- Performs product stability, proficiency, environmental testing, and water system testing
- Responsible for routine preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, calibration, and general cleanliness of lab equipment
- Updates departmental SOPs and QC Monographs as directed
- Performs microbial testing per SOPs and QC Monographs
- Orders laboratory supplies, reagents, and other consumables
- Monitors storage conditions and expiration dates of supplies
- Disposes of hazardous and bio-hazardous materials properly
- Maintains retain samples according to procedures
- Maintains statistical process control charts and tracking reports
Requirements
- Min. BS/BA in Biology, Chemistry, or Medical Technology
- 3-6 months of research experience (academic, internship, co-op) or industry experience
- Strong attention to detail and adherence to GMP standards
- Ability to interpret complex test results
- Experience with laboratory equipment and SOPs
- Ability to perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of lab instruments
- Comfortable ordering supplies and maintaining proper storage conditions
- Knowledge of environmental and microbial testing protocols
