Contract Details

  • Pay Rate: $28.46/hour

Role Overview
The QA Technician supports quality operations within a regulated medical device environment, focusing on the inspection, testing, and failure analysis of returned and explanted devices. This role requires strong attention to detail, hands-on laboratory experience, and the ability to work within FDA and ISO-regulated quality systems.
Approximately 10–20% of the workday will involve microscope-based inspections. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with lab leadership to ensure product quality, compliance, and accurate documentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive, log, and track equipment returned by patients or explanted from patient procedures
  • Reconcile received products against Quality System records and investigate discrepancies
  • Decontaminate explanted equipment in accordance with approved operating procedures
  • Maintain inventory of decontamination chemicals and process materials
  • Perform visual inspections and advanced inspections of returned products
  • Conduct testing on returned devices and record results in the Quality System
  • Review device history records (DHRs) and support nonconformance investigations
  • Ensure compliance with FDA 21 CFR 820, ISO 13485, and internal quality standards
  • Perform all additional tasks assigned by the Lab Lead or Manager

Required Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
  • Experience working in a regulated manufacturing or medical device environment
  • Hands-on microscope experience
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
  • Ability to follow standard operating procedures precisely
Technical & Regulatory
  • Understanding of quality systems and inspection processes
  • Experience with device testing and failure analysis preferred
  • Familiarity with Class II or Class III medical devices preferred

Education Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate’s degree or technical degree preferred
    • Fields such as engineering, manufacturing, or quality

Experience Requirements
  • 2–4 years of experience in medical device quality, inspection, or related roles
  • Strong background in regulated manufacturing environments
