QA Automation Engineer (UFT/QTP, ALM, LoadRunner)

Job Title : QA Automation Engineer (UFT/QTP, ALM, LoadRunner 13+ Years)

Location: Albany, NY (Hybrid)

We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualifications

Qualifications:

• Extensive experience across all phases of Functional Testing, including analyzing and interpreting Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) and UML use cases for testability and identifying inconsistencies.
• Proven ability to participate in Joint Application Development (JAD) sessions and collaborate with business analysts to clarify requirements.
• Skilled in developing comprehensive test plans, identifying test scenarios and test cases, and writing and executing detailed test scripts.
• Strong expertise in defect identification, root cause analysis, and effective communication of issues to development teams.
• Hands-on experience with HP Quality Center / Micro Focus Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) for test management and tracking.
• Proficient in automation testing using HP Quick Test Professional (QTP) and Micro Focus Unified Functional Testing (UFT), including development and maintenance of regression test scripts.
• Solid experience in planning, designing, and executing test strategies for large-scale, complex web-based Human Services systems, including applications with extensive user interfaces and complex validation rules.
• Experience in a Test Lead role, providing guidance, mentoring, and training to team members while ensuring adherence to testing standards and best practices.
• Skilled in using industry-standard tools such as SQL Navigator, SOAP UI, Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS), and HP Quality Center to identify, document, track, and communicate defects effectively.
• Experience in performance and load testing using HP LoadRunner / Performance Center.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
