Senior Data Engineer
Employment: Fulltime
Locations: Cary, NC / Jacksonville, FL / New York, NY
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer with strong expertise in Python, PySpark, and modern cloud data platforms. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience developing data models, building scalable data pipelines, and working within enterprise data ecosystems. Experience with Smaragd is desirable but not mandatory.
Must‑Have Technical & Functional Skills
Technical & Delivery Expertise
- 8+ years of experience as a Data Engineer
- Strong experience in data model development
- Expertise in Python and PySpark
- Experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Hands‑on experience with BigQuery
- Experience with Smaragd (desired, not required)
Responsibilities
- Develop, optimize, and maintain scalable data pipelines
- Build and enhance data models to support analytics and reporting
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including data science, business analytics, and engineering
- Leverage cloud technologies to design and implement distributed data solutions
- Ensure high‑quality data delivery, performance, and reliability
- Contribute to best practices for data engineering, coding standards, and automation
