Role Overview
The Python Developer will support the design, development, and ongoing maintenance of an AWS-hosted web application, working across both Python backend services and React front-end components. This role collaborates closely with data modelers, analysts, and business stakeholders across multiple product teams to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions in an enterprise environment.
The ideal candidate demonstrates strong object-oriented programming skills, modern web development experience, and a commitment to clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain web applications using Python and React
  • Ensure adherence to enterprise data standards, policies, and procedures
  • Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code
  • Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and reliability
  • Debug and resolve application issues to improve stability
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to team standards and best practices
  • Adapt quickly to new tools, technologies, and frameworks
  • Engage in continuous learning to stay current with industry trends
  • Document data ownership and establish integrations with enterprise data repositories
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including analysts, data modelers, and business users
Required Skills & Qualifications (Must-Have)
  • 5+ years of experience in an enterprise development environment
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles
  • Experience with Python libraries such as pandas, NumPy, datetime, and regex
  • 2+ years of front-end development experience using React, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
  • 1+ year of experience with SQL Server, including writing basic queries and stored procedures
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git (Bitbucket, GitLab)
  • Proficiency with documentation tools (Confluence) and issue tracking tools (Jira)
  • Experience using testing frameworks such as UnitTest, Pytest, and Jest
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills
  • Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or other cloud platforms
  • Experience with Databricks, ADF, AWS Glue, ETL/ELT pipelines
  • Exposure to data engineering or data integration workflows
