Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree (Engineering Preferred)
3+ years manufacturing & R&D sourcing, planning and procurement
(defense, aerospace, automotive, or high-tech industries)
Must have sourced commodities: electronic components: AD converters, memory modules, microprocessors, and Delrin thermosplastics.
Experience performing Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analysis
Hands on experience and oversight with: selecting and purchasing electronic components
Be a strong negotiator & track record with developing supplier relationships
Competency tracking orders, reviewing inventory levels, forecasting, quality assurance
Track record driving continuous improvement
Experience with controlling costs, on-time delivery

Responsibilities:

Hands-on oversight of purchasing operations
Manage, mentor, and develop a team of direct reports: buyers and planners
Ensure shortages are avoided: (out of stock material, back orders and mitigate material lead-time issues)
Evaluate obsolete materials and seek alternatives
Negotiate costs based on current standard cost
Forecasting: Use data analysis to plan purchase releases
Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs)
Review performance metrics and process outcomes
Identify improvement opportunities and implement corrective actions
Create and execute resource optimization plans
Partner with sourcing team to maintain regulatory compliance across all site operations.
