Our organization is looking for a dynamic, detail-oriented, and highly motivated Permanent Purchasing Coordinator to join our team. This role is pivotal in our construction operations, handling all aspects of materials procurement and vendor management in the residential construction sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for the efficient execution of purchasing processes, from sourcing to order placement, ensuring the timely delivery of materials, and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers. This role requires a proactive professional with a keen eye for detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details
Responsibilities:
1. Manage all aspects of the purchasing process, including the preparation and issuance of Purchase Orders (POs) for construction materials and services.
2. Conduct market research to identify potential vendors and negotiate contracts to secure the most advantageous terms.
3. Coordinate with project managers and site supervisors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services as per project timelines.
4. Oversee the receipt and inspection of goods, checking the quality and quantity of delivered products, and resolving any discrepancies or issues with suppliers.
5. Maintain up-to-date records of purchases, pricing, and delivery information to ensure accurate budgeting and cost analysis.
6. Develop and implement purchasing strategies to meet the company's business goals and objectives.
7. Foster and maintain strong relationships with vendors, negotiating contracts and prices, and ensuring the highest standards of quality and service are consistently met.
8. Collaborate with internal teams to forecast future material needs and ensure the availability of resources for ongoing and upcoming construction projects.
9. Continually assess market conditions and trends to identify potential impacts on procurement activities and make necessary adjustments.
Qualifications:
1. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a purchasing coordinator role, preferably within the residential construction industry.
2. Profound knowledge of procurement processes, policies, and procedures.
3. Proven experience in managing and negotiating with vendors and suppliers.
4. Excellent knowledge of construction materials, their market rates, and quality parameters.
5. Strong organizational skills with proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
6. Exceptional negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
7. Proficiency in using purchasing software and related tools.
8. Strong decision-making skills and the ability to solve problems quickly and effectively.
9. Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken.
10. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
