Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled Puppet Developer to join our infrastructure automation team in Chicago. The ideal candidate will have experience with Puppet configuration management, automation scripting, and DevOps best practices. You will play a key role in managing and automating system configurations across our environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain Puppet manifests and modules.
Automate system configuration and software deployments.
Collaborate with DevOps and infrastructure teams to implement scalable solutions.
Troubleshoot and resolve Puppet-related issues.
Ensure compliance with security and configuration standards.Required Skills:
2+ years of experience with Puppet.
Proficiency in scripting (e.g., Bash, Python, Ruby).
Experience with Linux/Unix systems administration.
Familiarity with CI/CD tools and version control (e.g., Git).
Good understanding of system configuration and automation principles.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with other configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Chef).
Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Strong communication and documentation skills.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
