We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatry Physician to provide essential mental health support for adult patients in a hospital setting. This full-time position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to patient care during a 3-month maternity leave coverage starting July 1, 2026. Required Skills:
- Board Certification in Psychiatry
- Active State Medical License
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant clinical experience
- Proficiency in Med Checks and Med Checks with therapy
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to assess and manage adult psychiatric conditions effectively
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with Cerner EMR system
- Additional certifications in mental health specialties
- Familiarity with hospital-based inpatient or outpatient psychiatric care
- Knowledge of clinical procedures and patient management strategies
Preferred Education and Experience:
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Prior experience working in hospital settings
- Demonstrated ability to handle high-volume patient care (11-16 patients per day)
Other Requirements:
- Willingness to obtain or have current DEA registration (verification in progress)
- Candidates eligible for IMLC license or WV temporary license are encouraged to apply
- Must pass credentialing within approximately 60 days
- Availability for day shift hours, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
