Psychiatric Technician (Psych Tech) or LPN/LVN
Location: Jacksonville Naval Base – Kings Bay, GASchedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday, Day Shift
Spectrum Healthcare Resources is seeking a qualified Psychiatric Technician OR LPN/LVN to support the Behavioral Health Clinic at Jacksonville Naval Base in Kings Bay, Georgia. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS – PLEASE READ CAREFULLY
We are hiring for ONE of the following roles. Candidates must meet ALL requirements listed for the position they are applying for.
Option 1 – Psychiatric Technician
Required Qualifications:
- US Citizenship
Minimum of two (2) years of college coursework in Psychology, Behavioral Health, or a related field
Active Psychiatric Technician certification
At least one (1) year of experience as a Psychiatric Technician AFTER certification
Two (2) professional letters of reference from supervisors or clinicians attesting to your skills and performance as a Psych Tech (dated within the last two years)
Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association
What You’ll Do – Psychiatric Technician
In this role, you will provide essential support to behavioral health providers and patients by:
Conducting mental health screenings and assisting with clinical interviews
Supporting psychological testing and documentation
Assisting with group and individual therapeutic activities
Monitoring patient safety and emotional well-being
Coordinating referrals and follow-up care
Providing compassionate, professional support to service members coping with stress, trauma, and life transitions
Option 2 – LPN/LVN (Behavioral Health Setting)
Required Qualifications:
- US Citizenship
Graduate of a nursing program accredited by NLNAC or CCNE
Active, unrestricted LPN/LVN license in any U.S. state
Minimum of one (1) year of LPN/LVN experience
Two (2) professional letters of reference attesting to your nursing skills (dated within the last two years)
Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association
Preferred (Not Required):
Prior experience in behavioral health or psychiatric nursing
What You’ll Do – LPN/LVN
As part of the Behavioral Health team, you will:
Administer medications and monitor patient response
Recognize and report changes in patient condition
Assist with diagnostic tests and treatment procedures
Support providers with patient care coordination
Educate patients and families on treatment plans
Provide a calm, professional, and supportive presence in a mental health setting
