We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Project Manager for Commercial Ground Up Design Build projects in the Construction industry. This is a unique opportunity to take the lead on exciting commercial projects, including industrial, storage, and office buildings. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of project management, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and execution. You will be working closely with our talented team of architects, engineers, and construction professionals to deliver high-quality design-build projects. This position requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, preferably in the commercial construction sector.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all phases of design-build construction projects from conception to completion.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and forecasts, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Coordinate and supervise the work of the project team, including architects, engineers, and construction workers.
- Act as the primary liaison with clients, ensuring their needs and expectations are effectively communicated to the project team.
- Manage project risks and issues, implementing mitigation strategies as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and present project updates and progress reports to stakeholders.
- Negotiate contracts with external vendors and subcontractors.
- Facilitate problem-solving and decision-making processes, ensuring the successful execution of the project.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, A MUST!
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Project Manager or Sr. Project Manager in the commercial construction industry.
- Proven experience managing commercial design-build projects, including industrial, warehouse, cold storage, and office buildings.
- In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, materials, and project management principles, including concrete and steel construction.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in project management software.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management.
- PMP or equivalent project management certification is a plus.
