We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee commercial construction projects across Knoxville and East Tennessee. This role is ideal for a detail‑driven leader who can manage budgets, schedules, field coordination, and client communication from project kickoff through completion.
Client Details
Our client is a Knoxville‑based general contractor known for delivering high‑quality projects through strong collaboration with clients, design partners, and subcontractors. They are fully licensed, insured, and bondable, and their team brings over 100 years of combined construction experience across a wide variety of project types-ranging from institutional, industrial, infrastructure, healthcare, education, multi‑family, manufacturing, and retail builds.Description
- Lead full project lifecycle management, from preconstruction through handover.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and cost controls.
- Coordinate closely with field leadership to support daily operations, sequencing, and site logistics.
- Manage procurement, subcontractor buyout, and contract administration.
- Review drawings, specifications, and submittals to ensure accurate construction execution.
- Facilitate communication among owners, architects, engineers, consultants, and internal teams.
- Monitor project progress, address challenges proactively, and implement solutions.
- Conduct project meetings, maintain documentation, and prepare regular updates.
- Ensure all quality, safety, and compliance standards are maintained.
Profile
- 5-10+ years of commercial construction project management experience.
- Strong background in one or more areas such as institutional, industrial, infrastructure, education, multi‑family, retail, or commercial construction.
- Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and contracts with accuracy.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills for working with owners and design teams.
- Solid understanding of construction means, methods, and sequencing.
- Ability to balance multiple priorities and maintain a proactive, solution‑oriented mindset.
- Strong organizational skills and a commitment to quality and safety.
- Experience with construction management software and digital tools.
Job Offer
