Description

The Project Manager - Commercial Construction - Charlotte will be responsible for:

    • Lead full project lifecycle including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution
    • Manage subcontractor relationships, contracts, procurement, and performance
    • Oversee jobsite activities in partnership with Superintendents to ensure safety and quality
    • Conduct regular project meetings, reporting progress, risks, and financial performance
    • Coordinate change orders, RFI processes, and project documentation
    • Maintain strong communication with clients and stakeholders throughout the project
    • Ensure compliance with company standards, safety requirements, and regulatory guidelines



Profile

The Project Manager - Commercial Construction - Charlotte should have:

    • 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager in commercial construction
    • Proven track record managing multiple projects simultaneously
    • Strong understanding of project financials, scheduling, and construction processes
    • Excellent leadership, communication, and client‑facing skills
    • Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam)
    • Ability to problem‑solve in fast‑moving environments and make informed decisions

5+ years of construction Project Manager experience with a general contractor is required
Experience on ground-up education, healthcare, and/or commercial construction projects is required
Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or relevant degree preferred
Applicable Project Management Software experience preferred
Developed thorough understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, standards, etc. and their impact on project success
Maintains good communication and interpersonal skills to interact with anyone from clients to subcontractors
Must be a business-oriented person and act professionally when representing the employer at any level
Local to Charlotte preferred, though relocators will be considered
