The Project Manager plays a vital role in supporting the Government’s ongoing mission by overseeing the full lifecycle of facility-related projects, from planning and acquisition through execution and closeout. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise in project and construction management, and the ability to coordinate across multiple stakeholders, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.

This position supports a Government program responsible for planning, construction, sustainment, and management of real property and infrastructure. The Project Manager contributes to mission success by ensuring effective project execution, compliance with federal requirements, and alignment with strategic program goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Support acquisition activities including development of requirements documentation, market research, cost estimates, and acquisition planning.
  • Manage project funding, budgets, and financial tracking, including monitoring obligations and expenditures and reporting financial status.
  • Oversee facility operations management by tracking maintenance activities, supporting repair solutions, and ensuring documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Provide end-to-end project management support for construction and facilities projects from initiation through closeout.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to define project requirements, validate scope, and ensure alignment with mission objectives.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, monitor milestones, and report progress, risks, and performance metrics.
  • Ensure all project data, documentation, and reporting are maintained in government systems of record.
  • Conduct site visits, evaluate construction progress, and provide reporting on quality, schedule, and compliance with specifications.
  • Support quality assurance planning and execution, including audits, performance tracking, and corrective actions.
  • Assist in developing project requirement documents, statements of work, and performance work statements.
  • Perform alternatives analysis and provide recommendations for project solutions.
  • Support configuration and change management processes, including tracking change requests and associated impacts.
  • Conduct risk management activities including risk identification, assessment, mitigation planning, and reporting.
  • Prepare project closeout documentation including as-built records, manuals, and financial reconciliation.
  • Collaborate with federal partners and external agencies to coordinate project execution and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, construction management, engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in project management.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification highly desired.
  • OSHA 10-hour training preferred.
  • Experience managing construction, facilities, or infrastructure projects.
  • Knowledge of federal acquisition processes, budgeting, and project lifecycle management.
  • Experience with project scheduling, cost estimation, and performance tracking.
  • Familiarity with government systems and tools such as project management and financial tracking systems.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to coordinate across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Experience supporting federal government programs or contracts preferred.
