Project Engineer
Job Description
To provide a liaison between Engineering, Business Development, Tool room and Process Engineers. Ensure all customer and project needs are completed in a timely matter. Track Project metrics and drive action items based on results and requirements. Knowledgeable with mold construction, molding processes and progressive stamping knowledge and results and TS/ISO standards. Manage projects in a manner to assure on time delivery and customer satisfaction.
Experience:
- 3D CAD Skills
- Schedule and monitor project activity to achieve an "on time" result.
- Monitor project cost activity to achieve an "in budget" result.
- Analyze all technical information to determine possible failure modes in the manufacturing process and suggest preventative steps for correction.
- Create bill of material, detailed work instructions for manufacturing processes and external suppliers and specification for packaging to provide standard cost structure.
- Prepare customer quotations utilizing supplier information, cost standards and technical information from design, tooling, manufacturing and quality.
- Prepare all documentation to achieve complete external and internal customer satisfaction for final sign-off of projects.
- All documentation to be in accordance with ISO procedures.
Qualifications/Education/Skills:
- Minimum of 3 years in engineering, Technical engineering degree or 5 years background in plastic injection molding, insert molding and knowledge of mold tooling and background in Medical, automotive and electrical.
- Effective communications with customers are essential.
- Team player with the ability to interact effectively with all departments within the Company.
- Sufficient analytical skills to assess problems or usual situations and develop solutions.
- Proficient in Microsoft Project, Excel and Webex.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude is required.
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines with little supervision a must.
