As a Project Engineer, you will plan, direct, and coordinate construction activities for civil industrial projects such as wastewater pump stations, water reclamation facilities, and large-scale utility projects - primarily Water/Wastewater Treatment plant construction but also factories/production facilities, data centers.

- Analyze and understand plans and specifications.
- Inspect construction sites to monitor progress and ensure conformance to engineering plans, specifications, and safety standards.
- Supervise and coordinate the submittal process and working drawings requirements.
- Prepare and modify reports, specifications, plans, environmental impact studies, and designs as necessary.
- Maintain and update project schedules with the Project Superintendent.
- Understand and manage cost and productivity data.
- Analyze and monitor job costs and production budgets.
- Prepare and submit monthly cost, income, and cash flow projections.
- Execute and approve subcontractor requisitions and vendor invoices.
- Coordinate and assist in the settlement of change orders and claims.
- Ensure subcontractor insurance certificate compliance.
- Promote and participate in planning with the job team.
- Consistently apply and enforce safety policies.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management preferred or equivalent technical training and related experience.
- 5+ years of related field experience in Heavy Industrial projects.
Skills and Abilities:
- Proficient with spreadsheet and word processing programs, CPM scheduling programs (e.g., Primavera Project Planner), and Microsoft Office.
- Experience using cost and productivity data.
- Clear and professional communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Effective presentation skills and ability to respond to questions from managers, clients, and the public.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle abstract and concrete variables.
- Ability to interpret technical instructions in various formats.
