Salary Range: $65,000 – $75,000 annually

About the Role
A well-established commercial general contractor is seeking a Project Engineer to support its Operations team. This position plays a key role in maintaining communication flow between project stakeholders, including owners, architects, subcontractors, and internal teams.
The Project Engineer will assist in coordinating project documentation, tracking progress, and supporting field and office personnel to help ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Core Responsibilities
- Support Project Managers and field teams with day-to-day project coordination
- Maintain and organize project documentation, including drawings, logs, and correspondence
- Track and manage submittals, ensuring timely distribution and approvals
- Assist with RFIs, change order requests, and meeting documentation
- Coordinate project records such as permits, inspections, and schedules
- Help monitor project progress and assist with maintaining schedules
- Maintain accurate digital records within project management systems
- Assist in preparing closeout documentation, including warranties, manuals, and as-built drawings
- Organize and archive project files at completion for future reference
- Provide general administrative and coordination support to the project team
Required Qualifications
- Prior experience in a construction or project coordination role preferred
- Familiarity with construction documents and project workflows
- Experience with project management or estimating software (e.g., Procore, Timberline, or similar platforms)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
- Basic understanding of scheduling tools (Primavera P6 or similar is a plus)
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and meet deadlines
- Willingness to work in an active construction environment when needed
