About the Role
The Project Coordinator is responsible for the successful field execution of construction projects through strong collaboration, active communication, and hands-on involvement. This individual will travel to job sites, help manage safety and quality standards, support crews, troubleshoot challenges, and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
You’ll work closely with Sales, Estimating, Project Management, Foremen, subcontractors, and vendors to keep projects moving efficiently and safely.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Sales/Estimating team to fully understand project plans prior to mobilization
- Coordinate with Project Management to schedule equipment, staffing, and subcontractors
- Lead and support Foremen and crews, ensuring clear understanding of roles, responsibilities, and timelines
- Conduct on-site layout and measurements (including GPS or GPR when required)
- Monitor workflow to ensure work meets project specifications and company standards
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a strong safety culture
- Oversee material procurement, inventory management, and equipment usage/maintenance
- Troubleshoot field challenges and communicate solutions daily with stakeholders
- Ensure site organization, cleanliness, and accountability
- Attend required job meetings (on-site or virtual)
- Complete accurate and timely documentation (daily reports, timesheets, incident reports, inventory tracking, etc.)
- Manage travel logistics efficiently and cost-effectively
- Contribute to team training, development, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Represent the company at trade events when applicable
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 5 years of irrigation construction experience (commercial, residential, or golf), including team supervision
- Strong ability to read and interpret irrigation plans
- OSHA 30-hour Certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
- Class I or II driver’s license and valid Medical Card
- Strong knowledge of:
- Irrigation systems and controls
- Turf, soil, and plant health
- Installation machinery and equipment
- Industry installation standards and protocols
- Climate impact on turf and job site conditions
- Proficiency with MS Office, mobile technology, and industry software
- Strong communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
- Positive, professional presence
Physical Requirements
This is an active, field-based role requiring:
- Lifting up to 50 lbs
- Extended standing, walking, digging, and manual labor
- Operating and maintaining construction equipment
- Extended travel by vehicle or airplane
- Periods of computer work and documentation
