Overview
We are looking for a dependable and community-minded Project Coordinator to support day-to-day operations within our local work areas. This position plays a key role in assisting building permit applicants, coordinating project activities, and supporting internal teams. Because this role requires regular in-person collaboration and familiarity with the local area, we are only considering candidates who currently live within the region.
The ideal candidate is organized, detail-driven, comfortable working face-to-face with the public, and experienced with project coordination or related work in building, design, or construction. Primary Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily project tasks and workflows in assigned areas, ensuring they stay on track with deadlines and established goals.
- Assist building permit applicants, provide guidance on requirements, and support them throughout the process.
- Gather and clarify project details, track scope changes, identify risks, and support smooth project execution.
- Lead or participate in project meetings, document key decisions, and communicate updates clearly to stakeholders.
- Manage relationships with vendors and technical partners, oversee project-related IT components, and monitor contract performance.
- Ensure all project activities follow organizational standards for timelines, cost management, documentation, and quality control.
- Support testing and implementation of new systems or processes as needed.
- Collaborate closely with team members; foster a professional, positive, and solution-focused work environment.
- Provide excellent in-person customer service, handle concerns professionally, and help resolve issues promptly.
- Perform daily administrative tasks with accuracy and efficiency in a busy, fast-moving office setting.
Requirements
- Local residency within commuting distance (required; relocation is not offered or considered).
- Experience in design, architecture, construction, engineering, or comparable project-focused work.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities at once.
- Proficiency with basic computer applications such as Microsoft Word and Outlook.
- Valid Driver’s License.
