Position Summary:
The Project Coordinator is essential in providing outstanding customer service within the Pavement Marking rental industry. This role ensures customer expectations for Pavement Marking rental equipment are consistently exceeded through effective planning and execution. By analyzing rental needs, assigning and scheduling equipment, and aligning decisions with company objectives, the Project Coordinator ensures seamless rental operations. This entry-to-intermediate-level position is ideal for individuals who excel in customer service, possess strong organizational skills, and are committed to maintaining operational excellence in a dynamic environment.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
  • Customer Engagement: Serve as the primary point of contact for customers during rental engagements, establishing and maintaining strong communication to ensure satisfaction and resolve inquiries efficiently.
  • Equipment Assignment and Scheduling: Allocate traffic control equipment and personnel to provide the most economical and efficient service.
  • Project Planning: Strategically plan and schedule rental projects to optimize cost and operational efficiency.
  • Customer Support: Provide technical expertise and guidance to customers, addressing their needs and concerns professionally.
  • Policy Adherence: Ensure compliance with Company Control Bulletins, Policies, and Procedures in the management of rental equipment.
  • Inventory Accuracy: Verify and reconcile rental paperwork, ensuring precise records in inventory systems.
  • Timeliness: Monitor and manage the punctual execution of all rental activities and related reporting.
  • Equipment Management: Assist in coordinating cycle counts, physical inventories, and equipment transfers between divisions to meet customer demands.
  • Additional Duties: Take on additional responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor to support operational goals.
Knowledge, Abilities, and Skills:
  • Customer Service Orientation: Strong ability to build rapport and deliver excellent service to internal and external customers.
  • Multi-Tasking & Prioritization: Capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a sense of urgency.
  • Problem-Solving: Creative and analytical approach to resolving issues and assessing the profitability of rental arrangements.
  • Technical Proficiency: Skilled in Microsoft Office, mainframe support systems, and knowledgeable in equipment specifications.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills to coordinate effectively with teams and customers.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility to be on-call and work evenings, weekends, or extra days as required to meet project deadlines.
Education and Experience:
  • Minimum Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Industry Experience: At least 3 years of experience in Pavement Marking or related fields.
  • Fast-Paced Environment: Proven ability to meet deadlines and adapt to a dynamic, construction-focused work setting.
  • Team Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Versatility: Willingness to assist in various areas of operations as needed.
