Project Controls/Scheduling Assistant

Johnson Service Group (JSG) is a professional staffing firm, and we are recruiting for an experienced, Project Controls/Scheduling Assistant , for a 12-month contract assignment based in the Marietta area (30062).
Our client is a proven leader in the planning, design, and construction of major transportation, economic development, and waterfront projects across the Southeast. This role offers a flexible hybrid schedule with standard work hours (occasional extended hours may be required during reporting cycles or critical project milestones).
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update project controls documentation (cost reports, schedule updates, forecasts, change logs, and supporting files).
- Support cost control activities (PO/commitment tracking, invoice review support, cost coding validation, budget vs. actual reporting support).
- Ensure consistent file management and version control in shared drives/document systems; maintain templates and standards.
- Partner with PMs and project controls to identify data gaps, resolve discrepancies, and improve reporting efficiency.
- Take ownership of assigned deliverables from initiation through completion, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Adhere to client/company procedures, confidentiality requirements, and audit-readiness expectations.
