Project Controls Manager
Job Summary: Talent Senior ServiceNow Developer is in search of a Project Controls Manager for a contract position in Overland Park, KS. The opportunity will be one year with a strong chance for a long-term extension.
Position Summary: This position is part of an Advanced Power Generation project, specifically the Bowen Unit 7 & 8 power project. This project involves a 2 unit 1x1 combined cycle setup, producing 1,590MW of power for Georgia Power near Atlanta, Georgia. Prior field experience and expertise in both cost and schedule management are preferred.
Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
- Lead a team of Project Controls (PJC) professionals, influencing internal and external clients on the most complex and highest risk projects.
- Function as a technical specialist developing advanced concepts and supporting global collaboration efforts.
PJC Management
- Lead and develop the PJC team on the most complex and highest risk projects in all aspects of Project Controls.
- Collaborate with and be an integral part of the project management leadership team.
- Identify process improvements and lead project risk and change management.
- Drive department initiatives.
Execution Leadership
- Ensure implementation of PJC procedures and tools.
- Provide transparent project health visibility to the business.
- Escalate project issues to PJC Leadership and provide resolutions.
- Support administration of project reviews and resolution of resulting actions.
- Ensure staff are meeting expectations and provide timely feedback.
- Provide staff with development opportunities and coaching for career advancement.
- Assist with succession planning within the team.
- Cost and schedule experience is essential for this role.
