Our data center client is seeking a highly skilled Project Controller to join their growing team. This role is responsible for overseeing financial control, reporting, and performance monitoring across multiple projects. The Project Controller will serve as a key partner to project managers and leadership, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with organizational goals.
This is a remote position, offering flexibility and autonomy, with preference given to candidates based in Texas due to regional collaboration needs.

Job Details

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Management & Reporting
  • Develop, monitor, and maintain project budgets, forecasts, and financial models.
  • Track project costs, revenues, and variances, providing regular updates to leadership.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual project financial reports.
  • Project Control & Oversight
  • Support project managers in planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Monitor project progress against milestones and deliverables.
  • Identify risks and propose corrective actions to keep projects on track.
  • Compliance & Governance
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, contractual obligations, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support internal and external audits related to project financials.
  • Collaboration & Communication
  • Act as a liaison between finance, operations, and project teams.
  • Provide clear, actionable insights to leadership for decision-making.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to improve project efficiency and transparency.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in project controlling, financial analysis, or project accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and financial reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (Oracle Fusion and Unifier preferred) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly.

Preferred Skills
  • Experience in energy, engineering, or technology industries.
  • Professional certifications (CPA, CMA, PMP, or similar) are a plus.
  • Prior experience working in a remote environment.
  • Texas residency preferred for regional collaboration.
