Our data center client is seeking a highly skilled Project Controller to join their growing team. This role is responsible for overseeing financial control, reporting, and performance monitoring across multiple projects. The Project Controller will serve as a key partner to project managers and leadership, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with organizational goals.
This is a remote position, offering flexibility and autonomy, with preference given to candidates based in Texas due to regional collaboration needs.

Job Details
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Management & Reporting
- Develop, monitor, and maintain project budgets, forecasts, and financial models.
- Track project costs, revenues, and variances, providing regular updates to leadership.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual project financial reports.
- Project Control & Oversight
- Support project managers in planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Monitor project progress against milestones and deliverables.
- Identify risks and propose corrective actions to keep projects on track.
- Compliance & Governance
- Ensure adherence to company policies, contractual obligations, and regulatory requirements.
- Support internal and external audits related to project financials.
- Collaboration & Communication
- Act as a liaison between finance, operations, and project teams.
- Provide clear, actionable insights to leadership for decision-making.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to improve project efficiency and transparency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in project controlling, financial analysis, or project accounting.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and financial reporting standards.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (Oracle Fusion and Unifier preferred) and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in energy, engineering, or technology industries.
- Professional certifications (CPA, CMA, PMP, or similar) are a plus.
- Prior experience working in a remote environment.
- Texas residency preferred for regional collaboration.
