Our client, a long‑standing service organization headquartered in Kern County is seeking a Project Billing Specialist to support accurate billing, financial tracking, and coordination across teams.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit billing based on contract requirements and internal procedures
- Review documentation to ensure billing accuracy and completeness
- Track the status of invoices and follow up on outstanding items when needed
- Collections activities; including reaching out for payment updates when appropriate
- Record and apply incoming payments to the correct accounts
- Support basic reconciliation of project-related financial activity and help resolve discrepancies
- Maintain organized electronic and physical files for billing and payment records
- Communicate with internal teams to confirm billing details or obtain necessary information
