Project Analyst

Banyan Search is helping an exceptional client in their search for a Staff Accountant / Analyst. The Staff Accountant will support and analyze project accounting for this large, growing corporation in a construction-oriented industry.

Position Overview

The Staff Accountant / Analyst will support financial reporting and project analysis activities. This role collaborates with finance and operations teams to enhance reporting capabilities and participate in month-end close processes. The position offers strong visibility with leadership and opportunities for professional growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide financial analysis and reporting support for project operations
• Support month-end close activities, including revenue accruals and cost processing
• Analyze project financial performance and identify key drivers
• Assess revenue risk and prepare appropriate financial reserves
• Respond to requests for financial data and analysis from internal stakeholders
• Assist with audit support and documentation
• Review and process contract budgets and rate testing
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve financial discrepancies
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 2+ years of relevant experience in accounting, financial analysis or project accounting
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (Pivot Tables, SUMIF, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP)
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to meet strict deadlines in a team environment
• Self-motivated with strong initiative
