Project Accountant

- Monitor and track project budgets, costs, and commitments
- Process and code invoices, contracts, and change orders
- Perform monthly job cost reconciliations and variance analysis
- Prepare monthly financial reports for assigned properties/projects
- Assist with draws, lender reporting, and construction billing
- Reconcile bank accounts and general ledger accounts
- Support month-end and year-end close processes
- Collaborate with project managers and operations teams to ensure financial accuracy
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- 2+ years of accounting experience
- Experience with job cost accounting and budget tracking
- Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs)
- Familiarity with property management or construction accounting systems (e.g., Yardi, MRI, Sage) preferred
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
