We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Accountant to join our team in the construction industry. As a Project Accountant, you will play a critical role in our financial management team, overseeing all financial aspects of our construction projects from start to finish. You will be responsible for managing budgets, tracking expenses, conducting financial analysis, and preparing financial reports, all while ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all financial aspects of construction projects, including budgeting, cost tracking, financial forecasting, and financial reporting
  • Use SAGE 300, SAGE Intacct, and Procore to manage project finances and accounting
  • Monitor and analyze project profitability, revenue, margins, bill rates, and utilization
  • Conduct regular financial analysis, prepare financial reports, and present findings to management
  • Ensure accurate and timely billing of construction projects
  • Manage Work in Progress (WIP) schedules and prepare monthly WIP reports
  • Collaborate with project managers to ensure budgets are adhered to and financial goals are met
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and financial efficiency

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction accounting or project accounting
  • Strong experience with SAGE 300, SAGE Intacct, Procore, and other construction accounting software
  • Thorough understanding of Work in Progress (WIP) schedules
  • Excellent financial analysis skills
  • Strong understanding of financial regulations and standards in the construction industry
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically about financial management
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with project managers and other team members.
