Core Responsibilities
- Systems Implementation: Lead the integration and configuration of Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) software while developing custom application layers to ensure seamless data flow.
- Cloud Development: Maintain and enhance the Scientific Services Platform (SSP) utilizing a serverless architecture.
- Biological Data Management: Support the BESST (Biological Entities Sequence Store) across its service, sequence, and business layers.
- Platform Integration: Manage development and configuration for PPM (Clarizen) to streamline project management workflows.
- Technical Adaptability: Quickly learn and implement new languages, frameworks, and technologies as project requirements evolve.
Technical Qualifications
- Software Development: Strong grasp of coding standards, requirement/defect tracking, and rigorous testing protocols.
- Version Control: Proficiency with source code repositories, with specific experience in GIT being highly preferred.
- DevOps Practices: Solid understanding of Continuous Integration (CI) workflows.
- AWS Ecosystem: Practical experience with Lambda, Step Functions, and API Gateway.
Education & Background
- Experience: Proven track record in complex systems implementation and integration.
- Scientific Knowledge: A background in Science (Biology, Chemistry, or related fields) is considered a significant plus, as it will aid in understanding the data handled by the BESST and SSP platforms.
- MUST be able to work onsite 4 days per week in Tarrytown, NY
