A leading defense manufacturing firm located near Belle Isle is seeking an experienced individual to oversee and direct key defense projects from conception to execution. This role demands strong leadership in managing budgets, timelines, and technical deliverables, serving as the main contact for clients and interdepartmental teams. You will collaborate with teams from engineering, procurement, quality assurance, finance, and warehouse management to ensure project objectives align with customer expectations. Candidate should have profound expertise in manufacturing operations and excel in environments subject to stringent regulations.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Manage every aspect of project lifecycle, including financials, timelines, objectives, and technical performance.
- Act as the prime liaison with clients to maintain effective communication and promptly address issues.
- Examine and understand contract requirements for product assemblies and manage contractual compliance.
- Facilitate adherence to engineering standards, quality benchmarks, and production requirements.
- Anticipate and negotiate risks, implementing mitigation strategies where necessary.
- Supervise manufacturing processes with a focus on staying aligned with schedules and cost-effectiveness, while addressing and solving production constraints.
- Conduct supplier evaluations and contribute to improving supplier relationships.
- Assist in business growth through proposal creation and advancement opportunities.
- Maintain data accuracy within ERP systems.
- Deliver regular performance updates to senior management and contribute to strategic documentation and planning processes.
- Uphold ethical standards and cultivate professional rapport with all stakeholders.
**Qualifications and Experience**
- Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline.
- 3–5 years of relevant project management experience.
- Proficiency in supervising production processes within the manufacturing sector.
- Experience within the defense industry is a favorable addition.
- ERP systems competence in manufacturing settings is expected.
- Certification in PMP, familiarity with FARs and DFARs are advantageous.
- Strong command over communication, both written and verbal.
- Meticulously organized and detail-oriented.
- Adeptness in Microsoft Office suite.
